On Sunday, February 5th from 2pm to 5pm, the W8WKY 147.39 repeater system will be offline for maintenance. The following maintenance will be performed:
- The Bridgecom BCR-50V radio unit and its attached MICOR squelch board will be removed from service
- One of the new Kenwood NXR-710s will be installed in its place
- All legacy coaxial cable will be replaced with new, measured-to-length cabling
During the maintenance period, please refrain from “Testing” the repeater to see if it’s back online or responding to any test transmissions unless there is a call over the air specifically for people to test the system.
No aspect of the operations of the repeater will change. While this has always been the case, all users of the repeater are encouraged to enable Tone Squelch on their radios for a better listening experience.
