Stephen Kinford N8WB reports:
Yesterday, February 4th, we had our first session of the year and that was in Wooster at the Wayne County Justice Center. It started out with a very nice breakfast at Buehlers just across the street from where we were testing. The team headed over after breakfast and got ready for the 7 people who signed up for the VE session. I would also like to welcome a NEW VE who hung out and graded a few tests with us, Scott Engelhardt KD8OTQ.
Five individuals passed and received their Technician Licenses, one individual received their General license, and one person received their Triple Play license, yes you heard me right he came in and passed, Technician, General and Extra, walked in with nothing and walked out on top of the Amateur Radio pile, awesome job for everyone who tested yesterday!! All paperwork was scanned and uploaded to the ARRL VEC portal today and should be posted on the FCC website in a few days from now.
I would like to thank everyone who participated in yesterdays session, our VE’s were Jerry Stroup KC8HDP, Garry Foster W8GMF, Aaron Frazier KE8LVA, and Scott Engelhardt KD8OTQ. Also, we could not do it without these two individuals who since the first test I managed during the COVID year have been at each session since, Doug Hunter KE8JNH and Bill Knauf KN8WDK. Without them it just wouldn’t work as smoothly as it does.
I am looking into the Examtools web based scoring which will automate all of this for us and especially the paperwork part.
Thank you to everyone who is part or has been a part of the SARA VE team, you are all so great for donating your time over the years to get individuals licensed and I appreciate everyone of you.
Also, thank you February 2023 Team for making this a very great start to our 2023 testing year!! May everyone be very blessed!!
See some of you on April 1st in Medina County for our next VE session.
