The Silvercreek Amateur Radio Association has filed comments in response to the petition for rulemaking filed under FCC proceeding RM-11953.
It’s important to note that a “Petition for Rulemaking” is only a request that the FCC consider doing something – it’s not a signal that the FCC IS doing something or even wants to do something. Many petitions for rule making are filed and then not granted all the time throughout the FCC and the whole of the federal government. That’s simply how the process works. In this case the “Shortwave Modernization Coalition” is asking the FCC to do something to change the rules.
