Just a reminder that the Fall 2026 Fox Hunt will be held this Saturday, October 10th. Please note the starting location has changed!
Fox hunters should rally at the outer parking lot of the Wadsworth High School / Middle School Complex (625 Broad St, Wadsworth, OH 44281) by 10:00am and check in with the starter, Scott Ward KN6G. The map below shows the rally location.

The start will be at 10:00am with no more participant envelopes/starts after 10:15am. The fox will begin transmitting around 9:55am and will transmit until 12 noon. The fox will be located no further than a 10 mile radius from the starting location. Each participant/team must register with the starter including callsign(s), vehicle mileage, and a cell phone number for coordination of necessary. Each team will be given a copy of the rules and a sealed envelope with the location of the fox.
The winner of the hunt is defined as the person/team that travels the least distance to find the fox. Mileage will be recorded at the start down to the 1/10th of a mile (if possible) and then checked at the end. Teams are encouraged to keep a separate trip meter for their hunt. Neither elapsed time nor speed counts towards any aspect of the event.
Participants are encouraged but not required to monitor W8WKY 147.39+ PL 114.8 for fox-related information.
