It was a great morning at the Rittman Fire Department building today. Our first ExamTools session took place. Our VE team consisted of W8GMF Garry Foster, KC8HDP Jerry Stroup, KE8TQR Keith Rutherford, and KA8LYJ Robert Morehead. Working the registration table, KE8JNH Douglas Hunter. And our assistance during the exam came from one of my ITS supervisors at Tri-C, the President of the NOARS club, and a great friend to me and so many others, W8LYO John Dolinar. John has been onboarding SARA and several other clubs in our area to ExamTools.
We had three people who took the ExamTools test, and they all passed with what they had studied and tested for KE8QMD Brian Antenuce (General), KN4ZMC Scott Ferguson (Extra), and our own AA8CT Craig Forcell’s grandson, Nathaniel Forcell, passed his Technician test and will receive his callsign as an early Christmas present!
Everything was uploaded to the ARRL, and no scanning was done on our part for this session since 2021!! All paperwork is downloaded as a single zip file.
I would like to again thank W8LYO John Dolinar for the great assistance that he gave to help move SARA into a new era of testing. KE8JNH Douglas Hunter for always working the registration table and for getting us into the Fire Department building to test. And to our entire SARA VE team who were at this session and assisted in the first ExamTools for SARA, thank you all.
