NET Announcements: February 27th

I sent out the February minutes yesterday evening using the new SARA-announce email list that Jason N8JDM and John N8CD have been working on and testing. If you did not receive the email containing the minutes, check your SPAM folder. If the email is there then reference Jason’s previous email about training your system to trust the SARA-announce email list.

We sadly report that the club has lost a long time member, Ray Irwin, K8PQ. Ray passed away surrounded by his family on February 18, at the age of 76. Pursuant to Ray’s wishes, no services will be held. More information including a link to Ray’s complete obituary is on our webpage w8wky.org.

SARA Receives Special Recognition Award

ARRL Ohio Section Manager Scott Yonally N8SY presented SARA with a “Special Recognition Award” at our last Club meeting (09-21-17) in recognition of the Club’s 40th Anniversary and “40 years of dedicated service to Amateurs and [our] community in the Wayne, Summit and Medina County Area.” We thank Scott for his special recognition and kind thoughts as we anticipate our 41st year!
