The Canton Amateur Radio Club (CARC) and SARA are teaming up for Winter Field Day 2026, and all operators are invited to participate!

We are using two SignUpGenius forms for Winter Field Day 2026: one for operating/attendance and one for meals.

This helps us plan attendance, parking, and site capacity so everyone has a safe and enjoyable Winter Field Day.

- Setup will be prior to the event. If you are not on the setup crew, please do not arrive before 12:45 PM on Saturday. We appreciate the help, but there’s something to be said about too many cooks in the kitchen.

Parking at the site is very limited.
Carpooling is strongly encouraged and will be required for most attendees. Please plan accordingly. More details to come.

📡 What We’re Looking For
We need operators to help make this a successful Winter Field Day effort.
Operating Class
- We will be operating 3I (max of three radios operating indoors at the same time).
🔊 Possible Operating Modes
- Phone: SSB, AM, FM, DMR, C4FM, etc
- Digital: PSK, RTTY, Olivia, Packet, SSTV, ATV, JS8Call, and other soundcard modes. (No “WSJT” modes like FT8 in Winter Field Day)
- CW
📶 VHF / UHF / SHF Operators & Gear
We are aiming to complete the 12-Band Challenge, which requires at least 3 contacts on 12 different bands:
- HF: 160m, 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m, 10m
- VHF/UHF: 6m, 2m, 1.25m, 70cm
- Plus two additional UHF/SHF bands, such as:
- 33cm (900 MHz)
- 23cm (1.2 GHz)
- or other higher bands
To make this happen, we are looking for:
- At least three operators who are not attending Winter Field Day in person, but who would be willing to attempt contacts on the higher bands.
- At least one operator attending in person who has equipment capable of operating on UHF/SHF bands and is willing to help coordinate these contacts.
If we successfully complete the 12-Band Challenge, it earns us a ×6 score multiplier — a huge boost!
