If you’re going to Hamvention and interested in meeting up or just contacting other club members, SARA will be using analog FM on a frequency 446.7375 MHz with a DCS code of 031 for coordination. Some notes about this:
- You will likely have to disable the repeater offset function of your radio as by default using that frequency will trigger the negative auto-offset and you will transmit on 441.7375 MHz.
- DCS is used in place of CTCSS for better performance in an RF-noisy environment
Consult your radio manual for how to set both of these. These settings are easy to make in your radio’s programming software or CHIRP.
