The Summit County EMA in cooperation with the Cleveland office of the NWS will be providing a “Virtual Skywarn Tornado Spotter Training” course at 6:00 PM on Tuesday April 5th, 2022 at the Summit County Chapter of The American Red Cross, 501 West Market Street in Akron (our ARES meeting location) across from what was formally the Tangier restaurant.
If you have not had Skywarn training or you have not participated in a Skywarn training session in over 2 years (the NWS recommends that you attend a training session every 2 years to keep current with any changes) now is the time to get that training completed. The EMA is requesting that participants register for this training session by no later than April 1st using the following link:
