The Spring 2024 Build Project is on! This build project will be a Handi-Finder RF Direction Finding antenna!
Despite the announcement at the March meeting that the spring 2024 build was going to be a Power-Pole connection block, SARA has discovered that the kits are not currently available for purchase. Restock is an unknown ETA. So the power block will be deferred to the fall and, instead, the spring build will be a Handi-Finder for fox hunting and other RFDF needs. John KC8ZKI demoed one at the meeting during his talk on RF direction finding.
Cost for the build will be $80 for all needed parts. Aside from the Handi-Finder kit itself, the project build will come with the rods for bending into the antenna, coax line, ends, adapters, battery, and handle material. The cost also includes taxes, shipping, fees, and misc. needed supplies for the project.
Actual group assembly will be a date to be determined in late April or early May depending on participant availability.
