Join us for a special ham radio event where clubs across Northeast Ohio (and beyond) activate parks, make contacts, and promote amateur radio together!

What is the Event About?

Activate a Park! Any licensed operator can participate—simply pick a park and get on the air.
Visit Other Club Activations! See different setups and learn from other clubs.
Join Special Operating Activities! Try unique ways to make contacts, including:

  • Satellite Contacts 🚀
  • NVIS Operations
  • VHF/UHF Simplex & Linked Repeaters
  • Digital Simplex (D-Star, C4FM, M17)
  • Aeronautical Mobile Contacts ✈️

📍 Where: Any POTA-eligible park in Northeast Ohio or beyond
📅 When: Saturday, May 31st, 2025

📓Note for SARA Club Members: Sign up to attend the SARA club’s activation at Portage Lakes will come later.

How to Participate

For Clubs:

1️⃣ Pick a park and register using our sign-up form.
2️⃣ Decide if you want visitors—you can welcome hams to check out your setup!
3️⃣ Join a special activity or lead one! (Optional but encouraged.)

For Individuals:

✔ Find a participating club to visit.
✔ Operate solo from a POTA-eligible park.
✔ Join the fun on the air!

Special Activity Coordination

📢 Want to help coordinate special activities? Let us know!

On the day of the activation, keep an ear on the W8OKE repeater (147.015+ PL 110.9, AllStar Node 55564) or W8WKY repeater (147.390+ PL 114.8, AllStar Node 48496). They will be linked.

They can be used to coordinate any special activities/HF contacts between clubs and SARA will use the system as a talk-in.
