The Silvercreek Amateur Radio Association is pleased to announce our 2023 Build Project! This year, we will be constructing a 14% off-center-fed (OCF) dipole. A 14% OCF dipole is easily tunable on 80m, 40m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m, and 6m bands with the internal tuner in any standard HF radio. The build will occur in July or early August as a lead-up to the Ohio QSO Party.
The full OCF dipole is 132ft long. Those desiring a something smaller, a 65ft long unit can be constructed which omits reasonable tunability on 80m.
The cost for the build is $96. Sign-up and payment must be made by June 26th. Past June 26th, there will be no refunds as the materials will already be ordered. However you are able to “sell” or give your spot to someone else.
Depending on the number of participants, there may be more than one build day offered. You do not need to participate in the build day itself if you just want the kit to build on your own.
