Wayne Co SKYWARN Training
The Wayne County Emergency Management Agency will be hosting SKYWARN training on Wednesday, March 25th starting at 6pm. The course will last approximately two hours. Address is 244 W. South St. in Wooster.
The SKYWARN training activity focuses on identifying and reporting severe local storms.By creating a community of spotters, it will increase the safety awareness of hazards that exist from severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and floods. The training of storm spotters coupled with radar, satellite, and other data has enabled the National Weather Service to issue more timely and accurate warnings in order to save lives.
Target Audience: School Administrators and Custodians, Health Care Providers,Public Service,Public Safety, Amateur Radio and Emergency Management personnel.
Pre-registration is REQUIRED for this event at https://www.wcemaoh.org/skywarn. The “secret phrase” to complete the form is “skywarn2020”, in place to prevent abuse of the form.
